Advance Decisions

Advance Decisions

As we find that many people are living longer we also experience the need for arrangements to be made for specific requirements or wishes concerning your medical care, particularly if you are unconscious or otherwise unable to make your wishes known at the time.  An Advance Decision, can not only make it clear under what circumstances you would wish to refuse medical treatment, it can also identify a person (called a Healthcare Proxy) who can make decisions for you should you be unable to.

This is legally binding on medical and healthcare professionals who must communicate with your chose Healthcare Proxy.  This can ensure that family and friends are not left out of any important decisions regarding you and your health if you would rather they be involved.
